Salivary Gland Diseases

Diseases of the salivary glands can be diffuse or localized. They can usually be evaluated by a clinical examination and an ultrasound scan with fine needle biopsy.

In addition to infectious or immunological diseases, there are also salivary stones or tumors which have to be excised. For salivary stones there are also nonsurgical treatment options.
