Thyroid Gland Diseases

The most common symptoms of thyroid gland diseases are changes in the hormone levels or the formation of thyroid nodules. These can be evaluated in most cases through blood tests, an ultrasound scan, and a fine needle biopsy. A treatment plan, either with or without surgery, must be worked out in cooperation with an endocrinologist.
