Ears

Ear diseases affect the outer ear – the auricle with the auditory canal and the eardrum – the middle ear and inner ear. In a wider sense the auditory nerve and the central auditory structures also belong to the “auditory organ”. Dysfunctions can also affect the vestibular organ in the inner ear and the facial nerve which runs through the temporal bone.
