Nasal Trauma (Nose Fractures)

Depending on the type and severity of the trauma, there are various ways in which the nasal structures can be injured. Functional or cosmetic consequences may result.

Usually the repositioning of displaced nasal structures is done first in the practice under local anesthesia. After healing nose surgery is only needed in some cases for functional or cosmetic reasons. Severe trauma cases usually require immediate surgery. An evaluation by a specialist is recommended in any case no matter how mild the injury is.
