Blood Tests

Blood testing is not necessary for every allergy evaluation. However it can provide additional clues for an allergy by determining antibodies against the triggering allergen (specific IgE), predicting the degree of risk for a severe allergic reaction (tryptase) or determing the extent of an allergic inflammation (eosinophilia, ECP).
